Ready to find your people or explore a new passion? NAIT student clubs come in all shapes and sizes. Here’s a quick guide to the types of clubs you can join:
Open Membership Clubs
These clubs are open to all NAIT students — no specific program or year required.
- General Interest Clubs
Based on hobbies, cultures, religions, or any shared interest. You don’t need to study a certain program to join, though being in a related field might add to the experience. - Academic Interest Clubs
Focus on areas connected to academic programs or professional fields. A great way to connect classroom learning with real-world interests. - Chapter Organizations
Student chapters of not-for-profit national or international organizations. Being part of one can help you build networks beyond campus.
Limited Membership Clubs
These clubs have some restrictions, often based on academic programs.
- Student Councils
Represent students within a program. Membership is typically limited to students in that program.- Combined Year Councils: Include students from all levels (first to fourth year).
- Fixed Year Councils: Membership is limited to a single graduating year.
