Fundraising
Fundraising is a great way to support your club’s activities and build engagement on campus. Whether you’re covering event costs, saving for a big initiative, or giving back to the community, we’re here to help you fundraise with success.
Common Fundraising Ideas
Here are some popular ways clubs at NAIT raise funds:
- Ticket sales. Charge admission for events like movie nights, tournaments, or socials.
- Merchandise sales. Sell custom club apparel, stickers, or swag.
- Supplies sales. Offer tools, kits, or resources tied to your club’s focus.
- Bake/food sales. Set up a table and sell snacks or homemade treats.
- Bottle drive. Collect and return bottles for deposit refunds.
- Photoshoots or headshots. Offer photo sessions, perfect around grad season.
- Organized fundraisers. Work with local businesses or run donation campaigns.
If you’re trying something new or planning a large-scale fundraiser, check in with the NAITSA Campus Clubs team for tips and approvals.
Using Square?
Square card readers make it easy to accept debit and credit card payments. Here’s how to get set up:
- Reserve a Square machine. Book through CHEQROOM ahead of your event.
- Complete required training. Square training is required before use. Click here to book Square training.
- Deposit funds promptly. After your event, make sure to deposit all funds into your club’s account at the Clubs Desk.
Cash Sales Reminders
Handling money responsibly keeps your club organized and protects everyone involved. Here’s what you need to know:
- Deposit all cash. All cash collected must be deposited into your club’s bank account at the Clubs Desk in the NAITSA Office (O108) after your event has ended and all funds have been collected.
- Cash box available. You can borrow a cash box for safe handling by booking through CHEQROOM.
- Bring your own float. Clubs are responsible for supplying their own float to make change at events.
