GIV’ER
Make a Difference with GIV’ER– And Get Recognized!
GIV’ER is NAITSA Campus Clubs’ recognition program that celebrates the power of giving back. When your club takes part in community-focused activities, you’re not only making a positive impact—you’re also earning recognition!
Through six unique ways to give, your club can reach up to five levels of Distinction. Each level unlocks:
- Recognition for your efforts.
- Prestige within the NAIT community.
- Cash rewards for your club.
- Recognition at our Clubs VIP Night
This is more than just volunteering—it’s about being part of something bigger, building connections, and growing as a team.
Ready to get involved? Join the GIV’ER journey and show how your club gives back. Let’s celebrate your impact—together!
Important Timeline
Points are collected from March 1, 2025 to March 2, 2026. Only activities completed during this time are eligible. The GIV’ER submission deadline is March 2, 2026 at 11:59 pm. This is a hard deadline.

If volunteering at a NAITSA event, the GIV’ER Form is not needed, and the hours will be logged automatically on your behalf.

Reference & Confirmation Letters
To earn GIV’ER points, clubs must provide proof of participation for certain giving categories. Here’s what you need to know:
Reference Letters
Used to verify volunteer hours.
Confirmation Letters
Used for food, clothing, or monetary donations.
Guidelines for Both:
- Letters should ideally be written on the official letterhead of the non-profit or charity.
- If letterhead is not available, we also accept emails– as long as the organization’s signature and contact information are included.
- Sample templates are available in the GIV’ER folder on ookslife.ca.
Activities That Do NOT Qualify for GIV'ER Points
While we love to see clubs active in the community, not all activities meet the requirements for GIV’ER point eligibility. To keep the program fair and focused on meaningful, voluntary contributions, please note the following exceptions:
- Court-ordered community service.
- General club operations (e.g. meetings, planning, events).
- Bulk clothing donations with no specific intent (e.g. drop-offs to Value Village).
- Mandatory volunteering for academic credit.
- Volunteering at for-profit businesses.
- Plasma donations with financial compensation.
Not sure if something qualifies? Email askclubs@nait.ca before you submit.
