CLub Dissolvement
Club Dissolvement
Dissolvement means the permanent closure of a club. This includes marking the club as inactive on ookslife.ca, removing it from the club listing, closing its finances, and addressing any remaining assets.
Voluntary Dissolvement
Some clubs choose to dissolve on their own—this is common for short-term groups like graduation fundraising committees or clubs that cannot find new executives after a thorough search.
If your club is planning to voluntarily dissolve, please email askclubs@nait.ca with your intended end date.
Before your end date:
- Use a Purchase Request to allocate any remaining funds as outlined in your club bylaws.
- If no action is taken, unspent funds will be forfeited to NAITSA.
- Equipment assets purchased with Grant funds must be reported to NAITSA for further instruction.
Involuntary Dissolvement
A club will be marked inactive and dissolved if:
- There are no club-hosted activities for 12 months.
- The club has no updated executive team for 12 months.
After 12 months of inactivity:
- Unclaimed or unspent funds will be forfeited to NAITSA and allocated according to the club’s bylaws.
- Remaining assets will be reviewed and managed by NAITSA.
